Phase 2, which includes tunnel filling, pasteurisation, and conditioning, may seem standardized, but what if the compost doesn’t come out ammonia-free? Small mistakes can lead to significant consequences. This module teaches you to recognize potential causes and prevent issues.

The module on Phase 2: tunnel filling, pasteurisation, and conditioning, delves into the process executed in a tunnel. Though you primarily control the process, the method of filling the tunnel is critical to its success. This module explores the impact of filling height, the proper techniques for filling a tunnel, and common errors that can lead to significant consequences. Additionally, you will learn what adjustments can be made during the process and the steps to take if the tunnel does not become ammonia-free. All your questions about these aspects will be answered in this comprehensive module.
E-Learning
The e-learning is based on the book “Mushroom Signals”. In this module, you will answer questions and tackle practical cases. Special attention is given to tunnel filling, and the six steps of phase 2 are extensively covered. You are expected to spend about 2 hours to complete this module. At the end, there is a test, and upon passing, you can obtain a certificate. Ensure you have completed the e-learning before participating in the online live training.
Webinar
During the online live training session, the e-learning content is further explained and discussed by the trainer. You and your fellow students (up to 15) will discuss real-life challenges you face in daily practice. This collaborative exchange helps you assess and optimize your operational processes.
