Mushroom Signals Composting: 1-year training program

The Mushroom Signals Composting training program is a comprehensive study programme that educates future composters. This blended course consists of e-learning, online live training sessions and a live masterclass. The programme consists of six modules: raw materials, pre-wetting, caramelisation, phase II, spawning and phase III. After each module, participants can take a test to receive a certificate. The masterclass concludes with a general exam and a certificate.

The training program for composters is a blended learning curriculum: a combination of e-learning and online live training sessions that concludes with a live masterclass of 5 days in the Netherlands. In the e-learning, you will learn all the backgrounds of specific stages in the composting process. Answering questions and solving practical cases will make you understand this even better. During the online live training sessions, the content from the e-learning will be reviewed and explained in more detail by the trainer. With fellow students (up to 15) you can discuss issues you encounter in daily practice. Exchanging experiences will help you optimise your operational process day by day. During the masterclass you will visit industry-leading companies in the sector, talk to the experts and discuss composting with other students. This will provide you with valuable information and tools for your daily activities and sharpen your vision of the future of your business.

Target audience:

The target group consists of people who have already followed the Mushroom Signals Essentials module and want to gain more in-depth knowledge of the composting process. These can be employees who want to develop and better understand what they are doing, to new managers who want to understand the entire process quickly and adequately.

What is provided to you?

  • The login has a validity of one year and is strictly personal
  • An invitation by Zoom for each live online training, 7 times, by Mark den Ouden
  • A masterclass of 5 days in the Netherlands, mixed classroom learning and farm visits

What do we expect from you?

• • To finish each e-learning module in time before the online training
  • Sign in on time at the online training
  • A computer with webcam, microphone and speakers. A quiet room where you can attend the online training undisturbed and/or headphones.
  • Organise a stable connection on internet (best with wire connected on the WLAN cable instead of wireless internet)
  • Organise your own travel requirements to attend the Masterclass in the Netherlands
